Karen Myrthe Netscher is a fulltime actress, dancer and singer.

Karen followed acting trainings at Theatre School De Trap in Amsterdam and the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute in New York. During and after her studies she worked on several national and international (short) films, theatre productions, TV Series, TV commercials and company films. Besides acting Karen started her training as a dancer with the evening orientation program at Lucia Marthas Institute for Performing Arts and the work-dance program at Amsterdam Dance Center. Karen combined classes at Lee Strasberg with a daily training at Broadway Dance Center in New York. Karen is still training and strives to be as allround as possible taking ballet, jazz, modern and hiphop classes.


Karen got her first vocal training at the age of 14 and became the lead singer of a coverband at the age of 17. She participated in several open stages and recorded several demos. At the moment she’s finishing up her first EP in the vocal jazz/pop genre, which contains 5 songs which she all co-wrote.

Then and Now

Karen is currently producing her own play and is working on several film and TV productions.

Karen organized a performance of the play “Educating Rita” by Willy Russel in Brooklyn, New York and took on the leading role of Rita White. She also produced the play in her hometown Amsterdam at the Theaterstudio and Badhuistheater.
